Changnyeong Livestock Contest & Health Walking Event Highlights

Changnyeong Celebrates Livestock Industry‍ & Community Wellness with Dual ⁢events

CHANGNYEONG,‌ SOUTH KOREA – September 12, 2025 – Changnyeong-gun hosted⁢ a ‍series of events this⁤ week recognizing contributions to teh local livestock industry and promoting ‍community health, drawing over 850 participants across two separate celebrations. The events underscored the importance of the livestock sector to the region’s economy and highlighted a commitment to‍ resident wellbeing.

The ⁢11th Family Love Health Walking Contest and the 1st Senior Happiness Charging feast took place September ‌11th at ‍the Changnyeong⁢ Nonghyup Mountain Distribution ​Center, ⁤while a separate Livestock Heart Contest was held previously, recognizing individuals for their dedication to the industry. thes initiatives reflect Changnyeong-gun’s ongoing efforts to foster both ⁤economic growth ⁢and a vibrant​ community life.

The Livestock⁤ Heart Contest honored individuals who have significantly ​contributed to the ⁤progress of ⁤the livestock industry. Commendations were presented to Kang Byung-gu and Hur Jae-hoon (Hanwoo), Kim Jung-yeon (Pig), Military Chairman’s Peak (Beekeeping), Kwon Se-jong‍ and ‌Ha ‌Hyung-don (Pet Animal),‍ and lighting Festival (Pig), with a Military⁤ Citation also awarded.Attendees included Sung Nak-in, Chairman of the Council ​of hong Sung-du,‌ other military council members, Kim Doo-chan, Changnyeong Axis, and numerous livestock farmers⁤ – exceeding 450 people in total.

Alongside the awards,the Livestock Council donated 2 million won to the Human Resources Growth Foundation to support local talent development,demonstrating‍ a commitment to ⁤community investment. Sung Nak-in emphasized the livestock industry’s role as “an important infrastructure that leads the development of the local economy⁣ and rural society.”

The ‍Health Walking Contest saw over 400 residents,​ including council member⁣ Lee Kyung-jae, complete a 2km course, promoting physical activity and community bonding.Following the walk, the Senior Happiness Charging Feast featured performances‌ including saxophone, ‌ gogo janggu (customary Korean percussion), and ocarina music.

“Thanks to your active participation, we were ⁢able to finish ⁢the event safely,” said Kim jong-gu, ⁢chairman of the athletic committee.
