Leicester, england – Mark Selby secured his first title in over a year, defeating Judd Trump in the final of the Champion of Champions tournament held in his hometown of Leicester. SelbyS victory ends a title drought stretching back to the British Open in December of last year.

I knew I had to play well. If you don’t do that,you won’t win. I would almost put Judd on a par with Ronnie O’Sullivan.He’s so good and has been up there for a while. Those are the games you want to play.”
The match began competitively, with both players creating opportunities.Trump, despite struggling with a new cue, initially led 3-1. Selby then won the next four frames, and although Trump leveled the score at 5-4 going into the evening session, Selby dominated the remainder of the match.
