Győr Secures World Champion Goalkeeper Hatadou Sako Through 2029
Győr, Hungary – Győr Audi ETO KC announced today a contract extension with world champion goalkeeper Hatadou Sako, solidifying her position with the club through 2029. The 30-year-old arrived in Győr last year and initially committed to a contract through 2027.
Sako has quickly become a pivotal player for ETO, establishing herself as a fan favorite and a key component of the team’s defense. “Hatadou Sako is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, who represents a huge value not only with his saves, but also with his personality and winning mentality,” stated Managing Director Fata Edina on the club website. “During the almost one and a half years spent in Győr, he has proven a lot; with his amazing willpower and tremendous work ethic, he very quickly became a key figure in the team.”
Since joining Győr Audi ETO KC, Sako has participated in 52 matches. The club highlighted her outstanding performance, fanaticism, and unwavering desire to win as factors in her rapid integration into the team and popularity with fans.
