Central Michigan University’s lacrosse team is set to continue its early-season road trip with a Saturday afternoon matchup against Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. The game, scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern Time, marks the fifth consecutive road contest for the Chippewas as they navigate a challenging start to the 2026 season.
The Chippewas will return to Mount Pleasant to host Robert Morris on March 14th, opening both the CMU Lacrosse Complex and their Mid-American Conference schedule. This upcoming game against Lindenwood precedes the home opener, offering Central Michigan an opportunity to refine its strategy before facing conference competition.
Lindenwood University also recently hosted Robert Morris, celebrating Senior Day in a game played on April 20, 2024. Even as the Lions ultimately fell to Jacksonville prior to that contest, the program’s recent engagement with Robert Morris highlights a shared opponent for both teams.
Central Michigan’s recent schedule included a contest at No. 2 Northwestern on February 15th, and a game at Marquette on February 13th, where Kalbacher scored four goals despite a loss. The team also faced Cincinnati on February 18th. These early-season games against nationally ranked opponents and competitive programs are intended to prepare the Chippewas for the demands of the MAC schedule.
A recent social media post from Central Michigan Lacrosse celebrated a victory over Robert Morris, signaling a positive momentum for the program as they head into the Lindenwood game. The post, shared on February 26th, used the hashtag #FireUpChips.
