Celltrion’s Europe Revenue Surpasses $1.5B in 2025, Driving Global Growth

March 20, 2026 Lucas Fernandez – World Editor World

Celltrion exceeded 2 trillion Korean won in European sales in 2025, bolstering its global expansion, according to a recent business report released on March 20, 2026.

The company’s financial results indicate improved performance driven by growth in its biosimilar business and strong sales in North America. Alongside revenue gains, Celltrion’s financial leverage also increased, reflecting expanded borrowing.

The report, publicly disclosed in Celltrion’s 2026 business statement, details a rise in Return on Equity (ROE) to 5.94%, a 3.49 percentage point increase from the 2.46% recorded the previous year. Debt-to-equity ratio also rose to 28.71%, up 8.95 percentage points from 19.77% in the prior year. The retained earnings ratio stood at 7780.03%, a decrease of 642.26 percentage points year-over-year, but an increase of 221.57 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.

Total debt increased significantly, reaching 3.7948 trillion Korean won, a rise of 1.5618 trillion Korean won from the previous year and 8567 billion Korean won from the prior quarter. The total debt dependency ratio increased to 16.99%, up 6.38 percentage points year-over-year and 3.05 percentage points from the previous quarter. However, the interest coverage ratio improved substantially to 15.48, compared to 6.51 the previous year and 12.81 in the prior quarter. Interest expense remained relatively stable at 75.5 billion Korean won.

Celltrion’s biosimilar sales reached 3.8825 trillion Korean won in 2025, a 20% increase of 650.8 billion Korean won from the 3.2317 trillion Korean won recorded the previous year. The company attributes this growth to a strengthened product-centric sales structure.

According to a report from February 24, 2025, approximately 54.9% of Celltrion’s total sales originated in Europe, with the European branch representing a central component of the company’s global strategy. Celltrion maintains 20 of its 40 international branches within Europe.

Recent analysis suggests that the company’s 2025 performance and expansion of global infrastructure are laying the groundwork for substantial growth in the coming years. The acquisition of a manufacturing facility previously owned by Eli Lilly in the United States is also cited as a key development.
