Cazzu says song Con Otra was not a reaction to separation from Nodal
Argentine singer Cazzu has broken her silence regarding her March 2025 track Con Otra, addressing widespread public speculation that the song served as a pointed message to her former partner Christian Nodal and Ángela Aguilar. Since its release, the track became one of the artist’s most commented-on songs as the public transformed it into a symbol of her sentimental history, turning the work into an anthem of resistance and despecho 10 months after her separation from Nodal became public and the wedding of the father of her daughter with Ángela Aguilar transpired.
The True Origins in Therapy
During a conversation on the podcast Ruido y Sentimiento
hosted by Romi Zanellato, the singer revealed that the concept for the track originated during a session with her psychologist rather than as a reaction to her separation from Nodal. Cazzu explained that she wrote parts of her Latinaje
album, including this specific work, when her relationship was still experiencing a positive period, recalling that Muchas de estas canciones se hicieron cuando todo estaba recontra bien

The creative process involved exploring a fictional narrative about romantic relationships and conflicts between women over a shared partner. She even considered releasing the track as the primary cut of her album Latinaje, knowing the public impact would be greater, and although her production team tried to convince her otherwise, she ultimately waited a bit longer.
Reflections on the Past
The unexpected phenomenon caught the performer by surprise, contrasting sharply with the stable emotional context in which it was conceived. Alongside clarifying the timeline of her writing, Cazzu reflected on the period spent alongside Nodal, noting that he encouraged her confidence to explore new musical genres beyond trap and reguetón, expanding her musical horizon and consolidating her versatility as an artist by telling her, Anímate, no pasa nada
, which she described as years that were very valuable and loving and left her with important lessons.

While acknowledging that the relationship did not conclude as expected, she noted that the years provided valuable lessons and growth, stating, Todo lo que viví me hizo crecer, y aunque las cosas no terminaron como esperaba, no puedo desconocer lo que significó para mí
