Imlator Dazzles Caussade with One-Man (and One-Woman) Show
Caussade, France – August 24, 2024 – toulouse-based performer Alex Lekouid, known as Imlator, captivated a Caussade audience Wednesday evening with a dynamic one-man show, skillfully complemented by julie Gallian in a parallel one-woman performance. The event, held at the Halle de la Place du Fil, showcased LekouidS talents as a singer, dancer, and humorist.
Lekouid, a former jazz professor, demonstrated a mastery of his artistic range, supported by Gallian, a veteran performer recognized for her work as a chorist with the René Coll orchestra and as a featured vocalist on the “sacred Evening” shows hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault. The duo’s performance was characterized by seamless interactivity, blending comedic sketches with covers of iconic songs by artists including Claude Nougaro, Henri Salvador, Ray Charles, and Jerry Lewis. Audience participation was woven throughout the show, enhancing the lively atmosphere.
The performance featured meticulous choreography, vocal precision, and a rapid succession of scenes, utilizing a diverse collection of costumes and props. The established rapport between Lekouid and Gallian evoked the charm of classic cabaret performances.
The evening concluded with a poignant rendition of a lullaby sung to Lekouid by his nanny during his childhood, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.
Caussade Celebrations Continue Through the Weekend
The Imlator performance is part of a larger local celebration taking place from Friday,August 29th,to Sunday,August 31st,centered around Pradasque Park and the Bonnaïs Espace parking area. Attendees can enjoy a fun fair in the Bonnaïs Espace parking lot.
On Saturday, August 30th, the gourmet market will relocate to Pradasque Park, beginning at 7:00 PM.Following the market,a free concert will feature Crawfishmen,a musical ensemble known for its fusion of Swamp Blues,Zydeco,and Rock’n’roll rhythms. The evening will culminate in a music fountain show presented by Water Water, a captivating Sound and Light spectacle designed to appeal to all ages.
