Catherine Castro Shares Details of Hospitalization, Expresses Gratitude for Support
Catherine Castro recently addressed her hospitalization in a candid statement, revealing a challenging time and expressing gratitude for the support she’s received. Castro acknowledged the experience has been difficult, leading her to a realization about the people in her life.
“it has been a very hard process. It is a moment where I realized that the people who generally love me are few and there are people who do not feel something for me, like a deep love of wanting to see me good, generally, well, they are not there. That’s when you realize who is who,” castro said. She emphasized the unifying effect the situation has had on her family, specifically thanking her mother, grandmother, father, sister, and brother for their support, and also her three best friends and her followers, whose “love and prayers” she has deeply felt.
Despite feeling emotionally weak, castro maintains her faith and views her situation as something to address proactively, without dwelling on worry. She is committed to continuing her work in television, finding joy and distraction in it. “I don’t feel negative, but of course I have felt sad. But, thank God, I am now in the hands of the best doctors, of my little angels, of people who are genuinely caring about me and that is the important thing,” she stated. castro aims to remain positive and active, continuing to dance and sing to avoid worrying others, except during hospital stays.
Castro expressed her determination to continue working, highlighting opportunities like “Super Chef” as a welcome distraction and a way to stay focused. ”As,I also see my work and these opportunities…to distract my head,to have my head focused on producing,on sharing with you and being on television,which is something that I am passionate about,” she concluded.
Castro first gained recognition in 2011 representing arecibo in Miss Universe Puerto Rico, where Viviana Ortiz was crowned. Her breakthrough came in 2015 with her participation in Univision’s Our Latin Beauty, where she was a second finalist and received a scholarship to study acting at the Televisa México Training Center. She returned as a finalist in Our Latina Beauty VIP 2016 in 2016.
Her acting credits include the role of “Damaris” in Netflix’s nicky Jam: The Winner (2018), as well as appearances in Daughters of the Moon (2018), Kimi: Proof of Concept (2019), Bellum: Proof of Concept (2020), four Televisa soap operas, and Natti Natasha’s series Bravas. She joined In the morning on TeleOnce in 2023, leaving in May 2024, and subsequently began working on I know everything on Wapa TV.
