Carlo Ozzella to Release New Album Gli Ultimi Romantici
Carlo Ozzella will release his fifth album, Gli ultimi romantici, featuring nine tracks exploring lost loves, memory, and literature.
Tracklist and Literary References
The Milanese singer-songwriter builds the album around relationships that have ended without dissolving into simple nostalgia. Characters in the songs continue to live, drink, travel, and remember what they have lost. Cultural references run throughout the record, moving from the rock single Mr. Best to allusions to Dostoevsky and Bogart.
The central emotional track, Avremo sempre Parigi, draws its title from Casablanca and features a guest duet with Elisa Semprini. Additional tracks include Niente di personale, Solo cose, Eden, and Shotgun Lovesongs.
Musically, the release relies primarily on melancholic auteur rock ballads driven by guitars, violin, and backing vocals. The title track builds progressively from a restrained opening, while 3:00 AM uses a guitar solo to heighten its emotional tension. The material was arranged with input from the Carlo Ozzella Band, featuring Davide Malanchin on drums and percussion, Paolo Quaglino on guitars and keyboards, and Roberto Cito on bass. Production was handled by Paolo Quaglino and Gianluca Morelli.
Live Debut and Tour Schedule
The album will be presented live on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Black Inside venue in Lonate Ceppino, Varese, as part of the Autunno Visionario 2026 series. The evening begins at 21:15 with an opening act by Tommaso Imperiali.
