Cardinals.TV Adds Monthly Streaming Option & Announce 2024 Broadcast Schedule
St. Louis Cardinals fans will have more flexible access to team broadcasts in 2026, as the organization confirmed a monthly subscription option for its streaming service, Cardinals.TV, launching March 23rd. The service, available through the MLB app and MLB.com, will offer a monthly subscription for $19.99, in addition to the existing full-season pass priced at $99.99.
The move addresses a key request from fans seeking an alternative to the annual subscription, according to the team. Cardinals.TV provides access to all 162 games within the team’s television territory without blackouts. This marks a significant shift for the Cardinals, who are now one of eight Major League Baseball teams to have transitioned to MLB-produced and distributed broadcasts.
Chip Caray will return as the primary play-by-play announcer for local broadcasts, with his son, Stefan Caray, scheduled to call an estimated 6-8 games as a backup. Analysts Brad Thompson and Mark Sweeney are also returning to the broadcast booth. Veteran reporter Jim Hayes will continue his coverage of Cardinals home games for his 25th season, joined by Dani Wexelman, who will cover road games and share pre- and post-game duties with Scott Warmann.
Al Hrabosky and Ricky Horton will contribute to pre- and post-game coverage, with Horton also continuing his role with KMOX radio. John Rooney and Mike Claiborne will join Horton in the KMOX booth, alongside pre- and post-game analysts Matt Pauley, Tom Ackerman, and Joe Pott. Horton and Claiborne will also host “Friday Night Live” from the Cardinals Nation Restaurant at each Friday home game.
For Spanish-language broadcasts, Polo Ascencio and Bengie Molina will return to call all 81 home games on WIJR 880 AM. Cardinals.TV will also offer a Secondary Audio Program allowing viewers to listen to Ascencio and Molina’s Spanish call while watching the televised broadcast.
The Cardinals’ 2026 schedule includes 15 nationally televised home games, distributed across FOX (6 games), NBC/Peacock (4 games), Apple TV (2 games), ESPN (2 games), and ABC (1 game). These games will be exclusively available on their respective platforms.
In addition to Cardinals.TV, the team will offer the “Home Plate” programming package, featuring 10 MLB-produced games on KMOV-TV and Matrix Midwest. Fans will also have access to at least 20 Triple-A Memphis Redbirds games and 10 Double-A Springfield Cardinals games, providing a glimpse into the team’s farm system.
The transition to MLB-produced broadcasts ends a 32-year partnership with previous broadcast partners, most recently known as FanDuel Sports Network, formerly Bally Sports Midwest and Main Street Sports. The Cardinals join a growing number of clubs handing broadcast rights to Major League Baseball as regional sports networks face challenges.
