Cardi B Announces Pregnancy, Expecting First Child with Stefon Diggs
New York, NY – Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B is expecting her fourth child, and her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, wide receiver for the New England Patriots.The artist revealed the joyous news Wednesday morning in a candid interview with gayle king on CBS Mornings.
“I’m excited. I’m happy,” Cardi B shared, radiating positivity. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work.But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby; me and my man,we’re very supportive of each other.”
The rapper emphasized the shared ambition she and Diggs possess, noting thay both operate at the highest level of their respective careers. “We’re both just… the greatest at what we do,” she explained. Beyond professional admiration,Cardi B highlighted the emotional security Diggs provides.
“He makes me feel very safe,” she confided, recounting a recent panic attack triggered by the pressure surrounding the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, set to drop this Friday. “Two weeks ago I was literally having a panic attack… people were coming at me very hard.Sometimes people love you, people hate you. And people were just saying very mean things about me.” She added, powerfully, “Feeling safe is feeling confident.”
This pregnancy marks a new chapter for Cardi B, who is already a mother to three children from her previous marriage to rapper Offset: daughters Kulture, 7, and blossom, 1, and son Wave, 4. Diggs also has a daughter, Nova, born in 2016, from a prior relationship.
Cardi B and Offset secretly wed in September 2017, publicly announcing their engagement a month later. The couple faced relationship challenges, with Cardi B filing for divorce in 2020, later calling it off, and again announcing divorce proceedings in 2024.
Representatives for both Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have yet to issue a formal statement.
