Call for Proposals: Czech Republic Small-Scale Development Projects 2027

September 8, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

The grants, ranging from 200,000 to 500,000 Czech Koruna (CZK), aim to support local community development, skills training, and job creation in eligible countries through bilateral development cooperation.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

According to openopportunities.org, applicants must be non-governmental and non-political organizations with legal personality in the country where the project is implemented. Eligible implementers must also be legally qualified to sign a contract with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic that establishes the jurisdiction of Czech laws and courts.

Submissions must include two copies of the completed Small-Scale Project Identification Form—one scanned with an official stamp and signature in PDF format, and another saved as an Excel spreadsheet. Additional mandatory documentation includes proof of the applicant’s legal status, documents confirming the authorization of the project manager, a copy of the project manager’s passport or ID, and at least three reference letters or documentation detailing the successful implementation of prior similar projects.

Funding Restrictions and Operational Guidelines

The financial contribution from the Czech Republic is strictly capped between 200,000 and 500,000 CZK per project. Co-financing from outside sources is described as arbitrary but desirable by the Ministry. Administrative costs incurred by the implementer cannot be covered by the grant. Furthermore, expenses covering salaries, fees, allowances, accommodation, travel, vaccinations, and insurance for experts cannot exceed 25 percent of the project’s total budget.

Sustainability is a mandatory condition for approval. Projects must demonstrate the capacity to function and continue operations after the financial support from the Czech Republic concludes. Additionally, all tangible and intangible assets generated by the grant must display the logo or explicit mention of Czech Aid Development Cooperation.

Submission Deadlines and Project Timeline

Completed proposals must be submitted via email to smallscaleprojectscz@gmail.com by September 15, 2026. Applicants must ensure that the email subject line strictly follows the format “SSP 2027: name of the implementer.”

The review and approval process concludes with successful applicants signing formal contracts during the first quarter of 2027. Approved projects operate on an implementation timeline running from March through October 2027. All project activities must be fully executed and financial accounts settled by October 15, 2027.
