Cadillac Electrifies Lyon Motor Show with Lyriq and Vistiq Debut
LYON, FRANCE – Cadillac is making a notable push into the European market, showcasing it’s all-electric Lyriq and the imposing Vistiq SUV at the Lyon Motor Show. The appearance marks a key moment for the american automaker as it expands its footprint beyond North America with a growing portfolio of electric vehicles.
The Lyriq, initially offered with 528 hp, achieves 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h. A recently released V-Series version dramatically boosts performance to 615 hp, slashing the 0-100 km/h time to 3.3 seconds and raising the top speed to 230 km/h – though at a price increase from €85,000 to over €110,000. This expansion signals Cadillac’s intent to compete in the high-performance EV sector.
Alongside the Lyriq, Cadillac is presenting the Vistiq for the first time to a french audience.Measuring 5.22 meters long and 2.03 meters wide, the Vistiq is a significant vehicle capable of seating up to seven passengers. Weighing in at nearly 2.9 tonnes, the Vistiq utilizes a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 615 hp and 880 Nm of torque, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
Powering the Vistiq is a 102 kWh battery, providing a WLTP-estimated range of 460 km.
