Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, comprised of Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises Guerriero, have turn into known for their experimental blend of trap, hip-hop, electronic dance music, and pop. Formed in Buenos Aires, the duo’s distinctive style extends to both their music and lyrical content. They are considered part of the first wave of urban music to emerge in Argentina.
Their 2025 album, “Papota,” has been reviewed on Album of the Year, categorizing the work within the Neo-Soul genre. More recently, the duo released “Free Spirits,” which includes collaborations with Sting and Jack Black on the tracks “Hasta Jesús Tuvo Un Mal Día” and “Goo Goo Ga Ga” respectively.
The pair’s rise to prominence has included a viral performance at the Tiny Desk Concerts in October 2024, significantly boosting their global visibility. Both Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises Guerriero have also individually collaborated with Argentine producer Bizarrap, and have worked with other prominent artists such as Lali, Tini, and Duki.
Ca7riel, who studied at the Juan Pedro Esnaola School of Music, and Paco Amoroso, who began violin lessons at age six, have been performing together since 2010. They have received significant accolades, including a Grammy Award and five Latin Grammy Awards. A live performance of “DUMBAI” recorded in Buenos Aires currently has over 2.6 million views on YouTube.
