BYD Da Han Flagship EV Revealed With 1,000km Range
The BYD DaHan D-segment flagship sedan debuted officially in China, featuring a 102.3 kWh battery pack that delivers up to 1,008 kilometers of pure electric CLTC range, according to filings and disclosures covered by ChinaEV Home and CarsGuide. Priced around RMB 210K–230K, the new model targets premium New Energy Vehicle markets dominated by established luxury marques like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Porsche.
Vehicle Specifications and Dimensions
Positioned as the inaugural “9 Series” flagship sedan within BYD’s Dynasty lineup, the DaHan measures 5,256mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,510mm in height, underpinned by a 3,130mm wheelbase. According to industrial filings cited by ChinaEV Home, the vehicle offers dual powertrain configurations. The pure electric variant utilizes a 102.326kWh battery pack yielding multiple range tiers spanning 820km, 850km, 880km, 970km, and the top-tier 1,008km CLTC specification. Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid iteration integrates a 54.489kWh battery delivering a pure electric CLTC range of 450km.
Chassis architecture plays a central role in the DaHan’s market positioning. WhichCar notes the inclusion of advanced ride-control systems, mirroring the setup deployed in the DaTang SUV. The vehicle incorporates a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension layout, complemented by rear-wheel steering and the DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension system.
Exterior Styling and Intelligent Driving Integration
Design revisions across the front fascia mark a departure from earlier Dynasty series models. According to ChinaEV Home, developers replaced previous decorative elements with a seamless full-width daytime running light bar centered around an illuminated “Han” logo. Vertical air-guide structures flank the front bumper, while a roof-mounted LiDAR unit signals advanced intelligent driving capabilities.

The rear profile adopts a slim, full-width taillight design incorporating “Chinese knot” motifs. Broad rear shoulders frame the rear fascia, accentuating the vehicle’s presence in the D-segment sedan category.
Market Positioning and Competitive Landscape
Commercial deployment follows aggressive rollouts across BYD’s broader portfolio. The DaTang SUV achieved 10,000 unit deliveries within 37 days of its initial market release, underscoring high consumer demand for the brand’s high-end NEV offerings. Analysts tracking regional market share note that the DaHan enters a fiercely contested price bracket historically commanded by import luxury brands.
