Business Student Connects NDSU and Downtown Fargo Community

NDSU⁣ Business Student Bridges Campus and Community as Miss Downtown Fargo

Brynn Olson seamlessly blends her ‍academic pursuits with civic engagement,‌ representing both North Dakota State University’s College of Business and the city‌ of Fargo as the newly crowned Miss ⁢Downtown Fargo. A marketing major,Olson embodies the strong connection between NDSU and Fargo’s​ thriving​ downtown area.

Olson ‍chose NDSU for its ⁣reputable business programs and supportive atmosphere, but it was the College of business’s location in downtown Fargo – specifically‍ Barry Hall – that truly sparked her involvement with the⁤ community. “It’s such ‍an honour to represent the same community where I go to class every day,” she‍ said.⁣ “Barry Hall isn’t just⁣ where I study marketing, it’s where I’ve grown as a student and as a leader while being surrounded by​ people‍ who are⁢ passionate⁣ about making a difference.”

The⁢ downtown​ location provides students with direct access to Fargo’s dynamic business environment.⁤ For Olson,this ⁢proximity has been instrumental in her development. “Studying ⁣in downtown Fargo has really opened my eyes to how‍ much creativity and collaboration happens here,” she explained.⁣ “Being in the middle of the city makes it⁤ easy to see ‍how local businesses, artists and students all support one another.”

As‌ Miss Downtown Fargo, Olson leverages skills honed‍ in her coursework to manage social media platforms, lead community initiatives, and collaborate with local organizations.She highlights the College ⁣of Business’s strength in providing real-world experience. “Students are getting more involved downtown. Whether that’s through internships, volunteering, or‌ just supporting local businesses,” Olson noted.

Olson believes NDSU students ⁣are integral to the city’s growth. “NDSU students aren’t just ‍visitors‌ downtown. We’re part ​of its momentum,” she⁣ stated, emphasizing the mutually beneficial relationship between the university and the city ‍it calls home.
