The scheduled debate on the federal budget faced an unexpected hurdle when the parliamentary session commenced without the necessary quorum. Peter de roover, chairman of Parliament, expressed his regret over the situation, acknowledging the frustration of hard-working MPs who were ready to engage in the budget discussions. the absence of several MPs, some due to illness or being abroad, led to the initial postponement.
