Bryce Anderson Injury Update: Texas A&M Safety Recovering After Notre Dame Game

Texas A&M Safety Bryce Anderson Avoids⁢ Serious Injury ⁢After On-Field incident

COLLEGE STATION, TX – Texas A&M safety Bryce ⁤Anderson did ⁤not​ sustain a “catastrophic‌ injury” following a collision during ​Saturday’s 41-40 victory over Notre Dame, the university announced.Anderson⁣ was immobilized on a backboard and transported ⁤off the field with a neck brace after ‌attempting a tackle late ⁢in the second quarter. He reportedly gave a thumbs-up to ⁣the crowd as medical personnel attended to him.

The Aggies confirmed Anderson traveled home with ⁢the team Saturday night and⁤ has undergone further evaluation.”We are thankful to⁤ report ⁤that no catastrophic injury was found,” the team stated. “Bryce is in ⁤great spirits, and our focus⁣ is now on supporting him ​through his recovery. We’re grateful for the manny thoughts, prayers‍ and messages from the Aggie family and know⁣ that Bryce will⁢ continue ⁣to feel that support ​as he ⁤heals.”

According⁤ to the Austin American-Statesman, Anderson had ⁤feeling in his limbs following⁣ the game. The dramatic‍ win saw ‌the No. 10 Aggies defeat No. 24 Notre ‌Dame on​ a last-second touchdown pass from Marcel Reed with just 13 seconds remaining.

Anderson has recorded 10 ​tackles this season.​ In 2023,the ​senior safety totaled 24 tackles and one pick-six over 13 games. Throughout his career, he has amassed 116 tackles, 14⁣ tackles for loss, and two interceptions.

A ⁤highly-regarded recruit, Anderson joined the Aggies as a four-star prospect and was ranked the ​No. 10 player in Texas by Rivals upon his high school graduation.
