Cleveland sought offensive line help after Dawand Jones, their starting left tackle, sustained a season-ending injury in Week 3. Further complicating matters, right tackle Jack Conklin has been battling an elbow injury. Robinson, a veteran with 102 career starts, offers experience adn potential stability. the Texans are sending Robinson to Cleveland in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round draft pick, while receiving a 2027 seventh-round pick in return.
Robinson began the 2024 season as houston’s starting tackle, but lost his role to Aireontae Ersery after Week 1. He saw limited special teams action in Weeks 2 and 3 before being inactive for the Texans’ recent win against the Titans. Prior to joining Houston on a one-year contract in March, the 2017 second-round pick spent his first seven NFL seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
