Browns Acquire Cam Robinson from Texans

by David Harrison – Chief Editor

The Cleveland Browns have acquired offensive tackle Cam‌ robinson⁣ in a trade with⁤ the Houston Texans, addressing a critical need‍ following season-ending injuries to key linemen. The move, reported ⁤by multiple ‌sources, provides immediate ‌reinforcement to a Browns offensive line currently navigating significant challenges.

Cleveland⁤ sought offensive‍ line help after Dawand Jones, their starting left⁤ tackle, sustained a season-ending injury in Week 3. Further complicating matters, ⁢right tackle Jack Conklin has been battling ⁣an elbow‌ injury. Robinson, ⁢a veteran with 102 career starts, offers experience adn potential stability.⁤ the Texans are ‌sending Robinson to Cleveland in exchange for⁤ a 2027 sixth-round draft pick, while receiving a 2027 seventh-round pick in return.

Robinson began the 2024 season⁣ as houston’s starting tackle, but lost his‌ role to Aireontae Ersery after Week 1. He saw limited special teams action in Weeks 2 and 3 before being inactive for the Texans’ recent win against the Titans.‍ Prior to joining Houston on a one-year contract ⁢in March, the 2017 second-round pick spent ⁢his first seven NFL seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was traded to the Minnesota Vikings mid-season when the Vikings lost left‍ tackle Christian⁣ Darrisaw for ⁤the year.

The Browns hope Robinson can provide a reliable presence ‍as they navigate the remainder of the season and ⁤contend for a playoff berth. His arrival adds depth⁤ and versatility to a unit facing mounting injury concerns.
