Hulk Hogan‘s Daughter Brooke Reveals She Removed Herself From Father’s Will Amid Scientology Concerns
clearwater, FL – Brooke Hogan revealed in a recent interview she proactively requested to be excluded from her late father, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan’s, will due to fears surrounding potential conflicts with Scientology and her mother, Linda Hogan. The revelation came during an appearance on the “Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling” podcast, days after a memorial service was held for Hogan in Clearwater, Florida on Tuesday.
Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, passed away on July 24th at the age of 71 from a heart attack. Medical records obtained by Page Six detailed a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), conditions previously unknown to the public.
During the podcast interview, Brooke Hogan explained her decision stemmed from concerns about how her inheritance might be impacted if her father’s current wife, Sky, was involved with the Church of Scientology. While acknowledging Sky was always kind to her,Brooke expressed apprehension about potential legal battles with both Scientology and her mother,Linda Hogan, who has a history of financial disputes.
“I was sobbing…I just said take me off everything, I just, I don’t want to be a part of it,” Brooke recounted, describing the text message she sent to Terry McCoy, who manages Hogan’s finances. “I don’t want to fight Linda. I don’t want to fight scientology. I don’t want somebody that I love to get knocked off. I don’t know how deep this stuff goes. It scared me.”
Despite removing herself from the will,Brooke is set to receive funds from a small life insurance trust established by her father, which she intends to use for her twins’ college funds. She and former NHL player Steven Oleksy welcomed the twins in January 2024.
Brooke also expressed regret that her father didn’t entrust her with his intellectual property (IP) and trademarks, believing she would have diligently built a lasting legacy for him, akin to those established for Elvis Presley, marilyn Monroe, and Selena. She voiced concerns about the current individuals surrounding her father’s estate, suggesting they may not have his best interests at heart.
Hulk Hogan’s career spanned decades, achieving mainstream fame in the 1980s and 90s with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). He became a cultural icon, known for his signature “Hulkamania” persona and numerous championship titles. His impact on professional wrestling remains meaningful, paving the way for future generations of performers.
