Bronson Reed scored a stunning upset victory over Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel, ending Reigns’ lengthy reign with a pinfall-the first since Cody Rhodes achieved the feat at WrestleMania XL last year in Philadelphia. The match, held Saturday, featured notable interference that ultimately shifted the momentum in Reed’s favor.
The contest saw early involvement from Bron Breakker of The Vision, who delivered a spear to Reigns outside the ring. While Jimmy and Jey Uso subsequently appeared to aid their cousin, the situation backfired when Jey Uso’s attempted spear on Reed sent Reigns crashing through a table. Reed capitalized, executing a Tsunami maneuver to secure the pin and claim the win, leveling his head-to-head record with Reigns at 1-1 after a prior defeat at Clash in Paris.
Following the match, a visibly frustrated Reigns directed his anger toward the Usos, expressing his desire to prove his ability to compete without assistance. ”The whole world thinks I can’t do s-t on my own,” Reigns stated, before telling Jimmy and Jey he didn’t want to see them “until Christmas,” despite professing his love for them.
