How Brian Cage Secured A Role In “Disclosure Day”
During an interview on the “No But Seriously Though” podcast, Cage detailed how the opportunity came together. He explained that Chavo Guerrero has become a conduit between Hollywood and pro wrestling. Cage was originally set to work on a television show alongside Guerrero, but that project was postponed. While waiting, Guerrero suggested Cage might be a good fit for the Spielberg film.
After completing his audition, Cage learned that the acclaimed director responded positively to his look and charisma. I go, ‘Oh, s**t! Steven Spielberg’s watching my stuff?’ … He saw me and went, ‘Oh! That’s what a pro wrestler looks like. I need that guy in my movie,’
Cage recalled hearing.
Working On Set With Steven Spielberg
According to Cage, Spielberg revealed that he was a wrestling fan and even allowed Cage to choose his opponent for the project. Cage selected fellow wrestler Lance Archer. The professional wrestlers make their appearance in the opening sequence of the film.

Looking beyond his role in “Disclosure Day,” Cage shared ambitions for other major cinematic franchises. He expressed that he would have loved to play a Wolverine variant in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” or take on any small appearance within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, he noted an interest in participating in a fight scene with action star Jet Li.
