Bratislava Mayor, Ex-Petržalka Mayor Clash Over Suspicious legal Contract

Bratislava, Slovakia – A public dispute has erupted between Bratislava Mayor Matúš Vallo and former Petržalka Mayor Ján Hrčka concerning a legal contract allegedly finalized under questionable circumstances. The Bratislava municipality issued a press release Monday afternoon, alleging that Hrčka entered into a dubious agreement with law firm AKF Legal.

The municipality further contends that Hrčka authorized the contract after his official term as mayor had concluded. While the document bears Hrčka’s signature dated June 4, his tenure as mayor officially ended on May 31. This timing has become a central point of contention.
