Boston Beer Appoints Allison Stransky as Chief Marketing Officer
The Boston Beer Company has named Allison Stransky as its new Chief Marketing Officer, positioning the veteran brand builder to oversee a diverse portfolio that ranges from Samuel Adams craft brews to Twisted Tea and Truly Hard Seltzer. Effective October 12, 2026, Stransky steps into the role after serving as vice president and CMO of Samsung Electronics America, bringing more than twenty years of consumer marketing experience to the publicly traded beverage firm listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NYSE: SAM.
Samsung Veteran Takes the Helm at Boston Beer
Stransky reports directly to Jim Koch, founder, brewer, chairman, president, and CEO, as well as Chief Operating Officer Phil Hodges. Hodges managed the marketing division as interim CMO during what the company described as a comprehensive executive search. The incoming marketing chief arrives with a professional background deeply rooted in data-driven digital transformations, enterprise-level artificial intelligence integrations, and large-scale consumer brand management across technology, beauty, and consumer goods sectors.
A Digital-First Blueprint from Silicon Valley to Beauty Giants
Before her tenure at Samsung, Stransky spent five years at Google, where she guided corporate clients through data-informed advertising strategies and consumer analytics. Her early career includes foundational brand-building roles at L’Oréal, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson.
At Samsung, she oversaw corporate marketing, communications, and Big Data initiatives tied to the company’s connected device ecosystem.
Expanding Portfolios Across Beyond-Beer Markets
According to corporate leadership statements released by the company, Stransky’s mandate involves leading brand management, shopper marketing, connected commerce, digital media, sponsorships, and consumer insights across the entire beer and beyond-beer product lineup. That portfolio includes Dogfish Head, Angry Orchard cider, and Sun Cruiser.

The October Transition and Operational Shift
Stransky will remain with Samsung Electronics America through the end of September 2026 before assuming her duties at Boston Beer in October.

Her integration into the executive team marks a strategic pivot toward embedding artificial intelligence and automated customer analytics deeper into the operational framework of one of America’s largest independent craft brewers.
