Bono Día del Bancario 2026: Amount and November Bank Holidays

Bono Día del Bancario 2026: Amount and November Bank Holidays

November 4, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

The minimum bonus for bank employees in Argentina for the 2026 Día del Bancario is set at $2,275,519.25, with financial institutions required to disburse the funds no later than Friday, November 6.

How the Minimum Bonus Calculation Works

The baseline figure sits above the previous $2,233,175.44 mark that applied prior to the most recent adjustment. That difference stems directly from a 1.9% September salary increase agreed upon by La Asociación Bancaria and business chambers.

This sum serves as an industry-wide floor. The final payout can climb higher depending on an individual employee’s specific job category, length of service, and additional workplace allowances. The payment remains entirely separate from regular monthly salaries and must appear as an independent line item on pay stubs rather than serving as a replacement.

To put the broader compensation structure into perspective, the starting base salary sits at $2,552,560.34. When combined with a profit-sharing allocation known as ROE totaling $73,786.55, the total starting income reaches $2,626,346.89. These adjustments bring the cumulative salary increase negotiated under the 2026 banking sector collective bargaining agreement to 23.6% when measured against December 2025 pay levels.

The October Adjustment Remains Pending

While the September figures are locked in, the October salary adjustment remains unsigned. Union leadership and corporate chambers have agreed to maintain an automatic updating mechanism through October, November, and December, while formally scheduling the next round of broader collective bargaining talks for the second half of January 2027.

Because these wage adjustments track monthly inflation rates, final numbers depend entirely on the Consumer Price Index data published by INDEC. If agreement terms finalize after the November 6 payout deadline, banks must disburse the mandatory baseline sum on time and deliver any subsequent difference as a retroactive payment.

A clear precedent exists from the previous year. In 2025, union communications indicated that both monthly retroactive adjustments and Día del Bancario payouts were settled alongside regular November salary distributions.

Five Consecutive Days Without in-Person Branch Operations

All bank branches across the country will close their doors to the public on Friday, November 6, to mark the anniversary of the founding of La Asociación Bancaria in 1924. While the date is governed by collective bargaining agreements rather than a national decree, it carries standard holiday processing rules.

Any financial operations carrying a maturity date on that Friday will automatically process on the next business day.

The closure marks the beginning of a five-day stretch without in-person branch access. The Banco Central de la República Argentina confirms that digital and automated channels remain fully functional during the hiatus, allowing customers to utilize automated teller machines for cash withdrawals and transfers, along with home banking platforms, mobile applications, and electronic wallets for daily payments.
