Bon-Encontre Media Library Launches Inclusive Programs, Welcomes Fall with Reading, Games & Mythology
Bon-Encontre, france – The Bon-Encontre municipal media library is kicking off the 2025-2026 school year with a wave of new initiatives designed to foster a love of reading and learning for all children, including a dedicated space for those with learning differences and a packed schedule of workshops and events.
This fall, the library is prioritizing accessibility and engagement, highlighted by the recent opening of DYS.Il,a new resource center for children with dyslexia,dyspraxia,dyscalculia,and dysphasia. DYS.Il provides adapted resources, accessible writing materials, and specialized animations to promote reading and cultural access. Alongside this,a diverse program of activities-from storytelling to creative workshops-aims to spark inventiveness and build community.
Families can mark their calendars for a free reading and well-being workshop hosted by reflexologist Amélie boulay on Saturday, September 20th at 10:30 a.m. Reservations can be made by calling 05 59 87 69 63 or emailing mediatheque-municipale@ville-bon-encontre.fr.
Regularly scheduled BB Bouquine sessions will continue, offering early literacy experiences for toddlers. Creative workshops for children aged 5-10 will be held on the third Wednesday of each month, requiring registration. Game animation sessions, open to all ages, will also take place every third Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., led by Cédric.
The library will also feature a curated selection of contemporary works centered on greek mythology. A special exhibition exploring the return of wolves to France will run from September 16th to October 16th, with free entry for all ages. Related activities include story readings for ages 3+ on September 17th at 10:15 a.m., creative wolf workshops for ages 5-10 on September 24th at 10:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. (reservations required), werewolf-themed games on October 1st from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and a storytelling performance, “La Malle aux Contes d’Agnès; Loup are you?” for ages 4+ on October 4th at 10:30 a.m.
