2025 Senatorial Election Results: Go Leads, Canvassing Complete
The Commission on Elections (Comelec), acting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), finalized the vote canvassing for the senatorial elections on Thursday night. Reelectionist Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go emerged as the frontrunner in the race.

Speed and Scrutiny
The Comelec has touted the 2025 canvassing process as the fastest in election history.
Despite the swift completion, the NBOC emphasized that the released votes and rankings are preliminary and still subject to auditing.
Canvassing Breakdown
The NBOC successfully tallied 175 certificates of canvass (COCs) within three days,commencing on Tuesday,May 13. The composition of these COCs included:
- One from local absentee voting
- Two from overseas boards of canvassers
- 82 from provinces
- 26 from highly urbanized cities (HUCs)
- 64 from overseas voting
The NBOC processed 58 COCs on Tuesday, marking the highest number canvassed on the first day. This was followed by 101 COCs on Wednesday, and the remaining 16 COCs on Thursday.
