Boise Firefighters to Conduct Large-Scale Training at Vacant Boise towne Square Mall

Boise firefighters will utilize the vacant Boise Towne Square Mall for intensive, live-fire training exercises from January 26 through February 6, 2026. This training provides a unique opportunity for crews to practice commercial fire suppression and rescue techniques in a realistic,multi-story environment.

The training will focus on several key areas,including search and rescue operations,fire attack strategies,ventilation techniques,and coordinated teamwork. The large scale of the mall allows firefighters to simulate complex scenarios that are difficult to replicate in conventional training facilities.
