Meanwhile, **Andres Gimenez**, who also began a rehab assignment in triple-A due to an injury, was active for the Bisons on Wednesday. The 26-year-old infielder is recovering from a left ankle sprain sustained on July 5.
**Gimenez** received clearance to resume running bases last Friday, indicating a positive step in his recovery. The three-time Gold Glove winner has been given the green light to commence his rehab assignment.
Acquired over the winter from the Cleveland Guardians, **Gimenez** has appeared in 61 games for Toronto in his first year with the club. He is currently batting .218 with a .300 on-base percentage and a .322 slugging percentage, having hit five home runs, driven in 23 runs, and stolen 10 bases.
