Bladee Drops New Songs: “Love Is a State” & “Eyelash”
Bladee, the Swedish rapper and producer known for his ethereal sound and enigmatic persona, has released two new tracks, “Love Is a State” and “Eyelash,” with minimal promotion. The songs arrived online Tuesday, produced by frequent Drain Gang collaborators Yung Sherman and Woesum.
The release follows Bladee’s 2024 album, Cold Visions, and last year’s EP, Ste the Beautiful Martyr 1st Attempt. Ste the Beautiful Martyr 1st Attempt featured the track “One in a Million.” He likewise contributed to a remix project, offering his interpretation of PinkPantheress’ “Stateside” as part of her Fancy Some More? collection, and collaborated with Yung Lean on the single “Inferno.”
Bladee’s music often blends elements of cloud rap, trap, and auto-tuned vocals, creating a distinctive atmospheric quality. His function has garnered a dedicated online following and critical attention for its innovative production and introspective lyrics. A 2023 profile described him as “the Mystic Oracle of Internet Rap.”
