Charlottesville, Virginia will host a Black Artisan Market at the Dairy Market this Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST. The event will feature more than twelve local Black artisans showcasing handcrafted goods.
Shoppers can expect to find a variety of items, including jewelry, apparel, soaps, scrubs, vegan treats, and wellness shots, all created by local makers, according to event organizers.
The Dairy Market views hosting events like the Black Artisan Market as a way to support the local community. “That is what really makes this event extra special for us,” said a Dairy Market representative, “because we aim for to be the community hub and we’re proud to host events like this that bring people together.”
The Jefferson School African American Heritage Center will also be present at the Dairy Market during the event, connecting with visitors and sharing information about their programs and initiatives celebrating Black history and culture.
Participants in the Liberation and Freedom Day Race will receive a 15% discount at participating Dairy Market merchants.
