BJP Finalizes Bihar Election Strategy Following NDA Alliance Agreement
New Delhi, India – The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Central Election Committee (CEC) convened late yesterday at the party headquarters in New Delhi, signaling a rapid acceleration of preparations for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.The meeting, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other key party leaders, focused on finalizing the BJP’s candidate list and overall election strategy.
The CEC meeting followed the proclamation of the National democratic Alliance’s (NDA) seat-sharing formula for the Bihar polls. Under the agreement,the BJP and Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) will each contest 101 seats. the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has been allocated 29 seats, with the Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) each receiving six seats.
The NDA will be challenged by the opposition INDI Alliance, a coalition comprised of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) – led by Tejashwi Yadav – the Congress party, the CPI(ML) Liberation, the CPI, the CPI(M), and the Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP) led by Mukesh sahani. While the NDA has solidified its seat distribution, the INDI Alliance is still in negotiations, with reports indicating ongoing discussions between the RJD and Congress to determine their respective seat allocations.
The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6th and November 11th, with vote counting set for November 14th. The outcome of these elections will be crucial for both the ruling NDA and the opposition INDI alliance as they vie for control of the state assembly.
