Billie Eilish Concert Film Gets Paramount Release Date

Billie Eilish Concert Film Directed by James Cameron to Hit Theaters march 20, 2026

LOS ANGELES, CA – A new 3D concert film featuring Billie Eilish’s hit Me Hard and Soft tour will arrive in theaters on march 20, 2026, distributed by Paramount Pictures. The project is directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker James Cameron, known for Avatar and Titanic.

The announcement, made by Eilish during the final stop of her tour in San Francisco, CA, and later on her social media, follows confirmation that a previously scheduled film from Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and Kendrick Lamar has been moved to a to-be-determined date. Paramount quickly secured the March 20, 2026 slot.

Eilish first hinted at the film’s development in July during a concert in Manchester,UK,telling the crowd that Cameron had been filming the show. This project marks a meaningful shift for Eilish’s concert film presence, moving from a limited release of Live at the O2 in 2023-which grossed $1.29 million domestically through Trafalgar Releasing-to a full major studio distribution with Paramount.

Paramount reportedly considered distributing Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour before the Swift family opted for direct distribution with AMC theatres, a film that ultimately earned $180.7 million domestically and $261.6 million worldwide. The studio’s last major theatrical concert film release was the 2011 Justin Bieber documentary justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which grossed $73 million domestically and nearly $100 million worldwide.

The release coincides with Paramount’s plans to increase its feature film output to at least 15 films in the coming year. Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash is slated for release on December 19, providing an opportune moment to trailer the Eilish concert film to a large audience.

Hit Me Hard and Soft, eilish’s third studio album, received seven nominations at the 67th Annual Grammy awards, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. The single “Wildflower” from the album is nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 68th Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026.
