Big Hops: New Conspiracy DLC Adds Photography & Mystery
Luckshot Games has released a free downloadable content (DLC) expansion for its platformer, Big Hops, introducing a modern game mode centered around conspiracy theories and photography. The DLC, titled “Cappler’s Conspiracy,” is available now on PC and PlayStation 5, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for early this week.
The new content features Cappler, a conspiracy theorist owl, who tasks players with completing a series of photography-based missions to investigate various theories. Players are challenged to gather evidence – or disprove – the existence of phenomena such as aliens, ghosts, and subterranean civilizations. To aid in these investigations, Luckshot Games has enhanced the game’s photography mechanics.
According to the DLC description, players gain access to 17 new camera filters, zoom lenses, and a “Sky Shifter” gadget that allows manipulation of the game world. Six new cosmetic items are also included, with one enabling a first-person perspective. “Cappler’s Conspiracy is a new 2+ hour photography game hidden inside Big Hops,” the description states. “You meet a conspiracy theorist named Cappler who needs your help to explore some strange ideas.”
Chris Wade, director of Big Hops at Luckshot Games, previously announced the DLC on Reddit, highlighting Cappler’s role in the new content. The game studio released Big Hops earlier this year.
Players can locate Cappler by searching for his unique symbol hidden throughout the various worlds within Big Hops. The DLC is available as a free update for existing owners of the game.
