The test, conducted on a mix of highways and rural roads, measured the car’s efficiency under typical driving conditions. A representative from Skoda’s Czech branch confirmed that the 1.6-liter diesel engine, part of the company’s EA288 series, is designed to balance performance with low fuel consumption. “This engine model has consistently demonstrated reliability and efficiency in both urban and highway settings,” the spokesperson said.
Garáž.cz’s report noted that the Superb Combi’s aerodynamic design and lightweight materials contributed to its fuel economy.
