Best Used Laptop Deals in Akihabara: Let’s Note, VAIO, and ProBook

May 8, 2026 Rachel Kim – Technology Editor Technology

Market investigations conducted in Tokyo’s Akihabara district on May 7 and May 8 revealed a diverse range of pricing for used personal computers, with options spanning from high-specification portable workstations to budget-friendly legacy models.

Among the higher-end offerings, a 12-inch Let’s note model featuring a high-resolution display and 16GB of memory is available for 69,800 yen. This specific device is noted for its tablet-style functionality, according to reports from AKIBA PC Hotline!.

Other mid-range options include the HP ProBook 650 G8, priced at 52,800 yen. This model is equipped with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor and 16GB of memory, with the added capability for further memory expansion, as detailed by dmenu News.

Lower-cost alternatives have also entered the market, targeting users with more limited budgets or specific software requirements. A 13.3-inch VAIO laptop, featuring a Core i5-8250U processor and running Windows 11 Pro, is listed at 22,800 yen. Similarly, a 13.3-inch Fujitsu LIFEBOOK U939X/B, which also supports a tablet style and utilizes a Core i5-8365U processor, is available for 19,800 yen.

These pricing trends highlights a tiered secondary market in Akihabara, where hardware versatility—such as tablet-style form factors and professional operating system licenses—remains a key factor in valuation. The availability of these units continues as part of ongoing used PC sales in the district.
