BERLIN, Wis. – As the holiday season arrives, bringing joy to many, it also marks a particularly poignant time for those grieving the loss of loved ones. In berlin, Wisconsin, a unique and moving tradition offers solace and a space for remembrance: the annual tree lighting at Nathan Strong Park.
On Thursday evening, just after 5 p.m., approximately 230 trees illuminated Nathan Strong park for the season. these aren’t typical holiday trees; the vast majority serve as heartfelt memorials.
Each tree is adorned with personal tributes – photographs, cherished ornaments, and mementos – offering a visual and emotional testament to the lives of those who are missed. Many displays also include biographical data, sharing stories and memories of the individuals being honored.
