US singer-songwriter Benson Boone abruptly cancelled his Birmingham concert just one hour before he was scheduled to take the stage at the Utilita Arena on Saturday evening. The cancellation leaves fans disappointed and raises questions about the remainder of his UK tour dates.
Boone, currently on his American Heart Tour, cited illness as the reason for the last-minute decision, specifically a condition affecting his throat. In a statement posted to Instagram, he apologized to fans, explaining he had “tried everything” to recover his voice but was unable to deliver the performance he intended. Both Boone and the Utilita Arena are working to reschedule the concert,with Boone promising to “do everything in my power to make it up to you.”
The Utilita Arena confirmed the cancellation and apologized for the short notice and inconvenience caused.
