Inter Miami Midfielder Cremaschi Loaned to Parma After Public Criticism of Coach mascherano
MIAMI/PARMA – Rising American midfielder Benjamín Cremaschi, who recently played alongside Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, has been loaned to Italian Serie B club parma until mid-2026, with a purchase option of approximately €4.5 million. The move comes swiftly after Inter MiamiS loss in the Leagues Cup final and following Cremaschi’s public expression of frustration with his limited playing time and the coaching staff’s tactics.
Cremaschi, the son of former rugby player Pablo Cremaschi, had initially been viewed as a promising talent following Messi’s arrival in Major League Soccer. However, his role diminished throughout the recent season. The transfer was finalized promptly after the Leagues Cup final defeat, signaling a swift response to the player’s discontent.
The 18-year-old midfielder featured in 30 games across all competitions for Inter Miami this past season, but voiced his unhappiness with his recent lack of playing time. “It makes me angry, I want to play, it is indeed the most vital thing for me. I have played little in these last games, I do not think it’s because of my level because I feel good,” Cremaschi stated.
His criticism extended to the coaching staff led by Javier Mascherano, questioning the lack of clarity regarding his position.”I go to the games and I have no idea where I will play. Prepare in the position I will play is unfeasible. It costs mentally sometimes,” he added. The public airing of grievances appears to have contributed to the decision to move him to Parma.
