Two Brothers Die‌ Hours Apart in Beni Suef, Sparking Examination

Beni Suef, Egypt⁢ – ‍ A wave of⁣ concern has gripped teh village of Al-Saadna ‌in Beni Suef Governorate following the deaths of ⁢two brothers, Marwan Mahmoud Abdel Samad and Islam Mahmoud Abdel Samad, within hours of each other.‌ Both‌ boys presented‌ with severe fatigue before succumbing to their illness, prompting an investigation into‌ the cause of death, with ⁤authorities considering the‌ possibility of meningitis among other causes.

Marwan Mahmoud⁤ Abdel Samad initially ‍arrived at ‍a local hospital experiencing severe fatigue and died shortly after admission.Just hours later, his brother, Islam Mahmoud Abdel Samad, exhibited the same ⁣symptoms and was also⁢ hospitalized, but died before doctors could intervene.‍ The rapid succession of the deaths raised immediate‍ suspicion and prompted officials to order a ‌thorough investigation.

The Public Prosecution has ordered an autopsy on Islam’s body, despite objections from the grieving family who gathered at the hospital in protest. The medical team emphasized the necessity of the autopsy to determine⁣ the precise cause ⁢of death. Simultaneously, a committee from the Directorate of‍ Health visited the family home, collecting samples of food, water, and from family members for analysis at Ministry of Health laboratories‍ to rule ‍out ‍potential ⁣pollutants or infections.

Beni Suef Security Director, Major General Osama Jumaa, has been notified of the incident, and a team of detectives, led by Major General Mohamed El-Khouly, is ⁤conducting field investigations in coordination with the Public Prosecution. Authorities⁣ have requested a⁤ detailed report outlining the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The investigation is ongoing.
