Joe Burrow Shares Cryptic Message Following turf Toe Surgery
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has broken his silence following surgery to repair a Grade 3 turf toe injury sustained during a Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.Burrow posted three images of himself at Paycor Stadium to Instagram on Friday with the caption, “This game will break your heart. See you soon.”
The injury, which required surgery performed by Dr. Norman Waldrop at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, is expected to sideline Burrow for the majority of the 2025 season. Despite the grim prognosis, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor stated on September 17th that the team wasn’t ruling out a potential return for Burrow later in the year. The 28-year-old was seen in the team’s locker room on September 22nd with his foot in a cast and utilizing a rolling scooter, actively participating in team meetings three days after the successful procedure. Burrow underwent surgery to repair his Grade 3 turf toe injury at Birmingham’s Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.
