Vilnius Hosts Inaugural Polo Exhibition at Belmont Equestrian Center
Vilnius, lithuania – September 20, 2024 – Despite ongoing infrastructure growth, the Belmont Equestrian Center today hosted a free exhibition polo match presented by the Warsaw Polo Club, drawing a crowd of spectators eager to witness the sport and explore the future home of a new equestrian facility. The event marked the first public gathering at the center and offered a preview of the planned club’s vision for combining high-level competition with animal welfare and public accessibility.
The exhibition game and accompanying demonstrations – including horse and rider displays, pony shows, and Hobby Horse competitions - signal the launch of a project aiming to establish a modern and sustainable equestrian center at Belmont. Currently awaiting building permits, the facility will be led by Neringa Indrišiūnaitė, founder of the ”Perfect Horse” organization and a seasoned equestrian trainer. While full operations are contingent on infrastructure completion and horse acquisition, today’s event showcased the club’s commitment to engaging the vilnius community.
Attendees enjoyed pony rides, tours of the existing grounds, and a hay bale slide alongside the polo presentation. The event also provided an prospect for guests to showcase their personal style in the pleasant weather. Indrišiūnaitė envisions Belmont as a space where top-tier equestrian sports coexist with high standards of animal care, and are accessible to the broader public. Further details regarding the project’s timeline and development will be released as building permits are secured.
