Bellevue & Genthod: Free Tax Help for Young People
Residents of Bellevue and Genthod, Switzerland, aged 18 to 25, will have access to free assistance with their tax filings this March. The municipalities are organizing two sessions to help young adults navigate the complexities of the Swiss tax system, according to a report in Tribune de Genève.
The initiative comes as the region continues to recover from extensive roadwork completed in July 2024 on the Route de Lausanne between the Collex roundabout and the Chemin des Mollies. The two-year project caused significant disruption for commuters and residents, but is now finished, restoring two-way traffic flow. Prior to that, from 2022 to 2024, Bellevue experienced major disruptions due to work on the Route de Suisse towards Versoix and Genthod.
Details regarding the specific dates and locations of the tax assistance sessions have not yet been publicly released. The Tribune de Genève reported the initiative on February 18, 2026, but further information is expected to be published by the municipalities of Bellevue and Genthod.
The assistance program is intended to support young people as they fulfill their tax obligations, a process that can be particularly challenging for first-time filers. The municipalities have not yet responded to inquiries regarding the scope of the assistance or the qualifications of the personnel providing support.
