The Bella Twins were informed of their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Nia Jax and Lash Legend just hours before appearing on SmackDown, according to Nikki Bella. The unexpected announcement came on the same day the pair inserted themselves into the existing championship storyline, disrupting a match between the reigning champions and Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair.
Speaking on the Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Bella described the surprise notification. “Brie and I had been so eager to get back on TV since Brie came back at the Royal Rumble and then we came back in Phoenix, Arizona, which was incredible,” Nikki said. “There was nothing like causing chaos. The sisters’ appearance on the March 13th episode of SmackDown in Phoenix, Arizona, saw them interrupt the championship contest, leading to a disqualification and a subsequent brawl.
