Beijing Guoan defeats Tianjin Jinmen Tiger 3-2 in friendly match
Beijing Guoan Deploys AFC Champions League Lineup in Narrow Victory
Beijing Guoan coach Montgomery fielded a full-strength side that leaned heavily on players registered for continental competition rather than domestic league constraints. Foreign talents Shadrake, Nkololo, and Dawan all featured prominently alongside local forward Yang Liyu. Shadrake impacted the match immediately by drawing a penalty kick, while Nkololo, Dawan, and Yang each converted scoring opportunities to secure the 3-2 victory.
The fixture served as a direct testing ground for continental matches, specifically the upcoming October 13 encounter against Thai club Buriram United. Meanwhile, Tianjin Jinmen Tiger utilized the clash to maintain competitive fitness, receiving goals from Qiu-Ming Wang and Shethine during a resilient attacking display against Guoan’s primary continental defensive unit.
Liangming Lin and Jiqi Han Return From Extended Injury Absences
Beyond the final scoreline, the friendly yielded crucial personnel boosts as Liangming Lin and Jiqi Han returned to competitive action following lengthy layoffs. Lin had missed three months of action due to a bone fracture, creating a notable absence in Guoan’s attacking structure. With his current contract scheduled to expire at the end of the year without a finalized extension, his return allows sufficient runway across the remaining ten matches of the domestic and continental calendar to re-establish match fitness.
Goalkeeper Jiqi Han made his long-awaited return after more than 500 days on the sidelines due to injury. Once viewed as a leading candidate for the national team Goalkeeper position, Han’s prolonged absence stalled his trajectory while veteran Sen Hou anchored Guoan’s goal line across multiple seasons. Han and Shaoyang Liu now face an extended internal battle to secure the club’s long-term starting role between the posts.
Tianjin Jinmen Tiger Prepares for Clash Against Chengdu蓉城
Tianjin enters the final stretch of the domestic campaign sitting comfortably above the relegation zone, holding a four-point cushion over Wuhan Zhiyin with four rounds remaining. Manager Yu Genwei’s squad demonstrated sharp offensive intent against Guoan, suggesting strong current form ahead of a challenging October 10 fixture against championship contenders Chengdu Rongcheng.
Chengdu manages a congested schedule complicated by significant personnel losses due to national team commitments and suspensions. Key attacking figures Yihao Shi, Felipe, and Beahram Abduweli will all serve suspensions against Tianjin, while several other core squad members remain occupied with national team duties under Jiaxiu Shao through October 6, leaving minimal recovery time prior to the league resumption.
Guoan holds at least ten remaining matches across the league, FA Cup, and AFC Champions League to solidify its standing as the domestic season concludes.
