BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Month 2026 Line-Up: Sam Smith, Jorja Smith and Chase & Status Revealed
BBC Radio 1 has announced that Jorja Smith, Chase & Status, and Sam Smith will be among the artists for its Live Lounge month for October 2026. The annual broadcast event features stripped-back performances and unique cover tracks, airing on the station’s newly formatted midday show.
The Line-Up and Broadcast Schedule
According to announcements from BBC Radio 1, the month-long session will run from Monday, October 5, to Friday, October 30. Performances are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 12:00 PM.

The schedule kicks off on October 5 with a performance by Stockport-formed band Blossoms. The roster mixes established chart-toppers with rising acts across multiple genres.

A surprise artist is slated to perform immediately before Brighton duo Royal Blood closes out the month on October 30.
Traditionally, each participating guest performs an acoustic version of their own material alongside a cover track of a song by a different artist. Certain archival covers—notably those by Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa, and Bruno Mars—have surpassed 50 million views on Radio 1’s YouTube platform.

The 2026 sessions mark the first Live Lounge Month hosted by Charlie Hedges and Jeremiah Asiamah on their newly formatted midday show.
