BBC Radio 6 Music Unveils 2025 Albums of the Year Selections
BBC Radio 6 Music is spotlighting its annual albums of the Year,revealing a diverse selection of critically acclaimed and artist-chosen records throughout November and December. The station will dedicate four special episodes of “New Music Fix: Albums of the Year” to showcase the chosen albums, with one track from each added to the 6 Music playlist for a week between November 17th and December 21st.
this year’s selections, curated by 6 Music’s presenters and guest tastemakers, span genres and feature both established and emerging artists. The initiative underscores 6 Music’s commitment to championing music beyond the mainstream, reaching 2.7 million listeners (RAJAR, Q3 2025) as the UK’s largest digital-only radio station.
