Battlefield 6 Announces Major Top Gun Crossover Event and New Update

EA DICE has launched Season 4 for Battlefield 6, introducing a major crossover event featuring Paramount’s iconic Top Gun franchise alongside new game modes and a returning classic map, according to reports from gaming outlets including Gamekult, Xboxygen, and Julien Tellouck.

The update, which went live on August 18, represents one of the largest content drops for the first-person shooter to date. Following industry trends where multiplayer titles integrate external intellectual properties, Battlefield 6 incorporates elements from the aerial combat film, bringing recognizable thematic content directly into the game’s large-scale warfare sandbox.

New Modes and the Return of Wake Island

According to reports from RTBF and Xboxygen, the Season 4 update introduces specialized tactical playlists, including “Survie : Raid aérien” (Survival: Airstrike Raid) and “Offensive porte-avions” (Aircraft Carrier Offensive).

In addition to the new modes, the update marks the official return of Wake Island to the map rotation.
