Banner Wyoming Medical Center to Reopen East Campus with State-of-the-Art Orthopedic Focus
Casper, Wyoming – Banner Wyoming Medical Center (BWMC) is preparing to reopen its East Campus, considerably expanding and upgrading orthopedic care services for the community. A $6 million investment has transformed the facility, slated to begin accepting patients with the first surgical case expected in early 2026.
The renovated East Campus boasts four fully upgraded operating rooms, featuring new flooring and cutting-edge equipment. Notably, BWMC will be the first hospital in Wyoming and the eighth globally to implement the newest generation of Stryker surgical lighting systems, designed to optimize surgical conditions for both patients and medical teams. These operating rooms will also include new Stryker surgical tables and a fully integrated viewing system, allowing surgeons to display any image on any monitor for enhanced precision and efficiency.
A key component of the upgrade is the addition of a ROSA Knee System, a robotic technology that will enable Casper Orthopedics’ surgeons to personalize total joint replacement procedures – one of the most common elective surgeries in America.
“the surgeons at Casper Orthopedics are thrilled to have a newly renovated,state-of-the-art facility focused on orthopedic care in the community,” stated Dr. Daniel White, an orthopedic surgeon at Casper Orthopedics and BWMC. “The advanced technology in a facility dedicated to musculoskeletal care and a focus on exceptional patient experience will allow our surgeons to personalize the care and enhance the outcomes of our patients.”
The East Campus is designed for complete patient care, offering 37 inpatient beds for postoperative recovery, a complete laboratory with on-site blood products, and full imaging capabilities. A sleep lab,a primary care clinic, and a walk-in clinic will also be available. To streamline patient experience, all necessary services, including blood work and imaging, will be completed on-site, eliminating the need for travel between locations.
Banner has partnered with Casper Medical Imaging,Outpatient Radiology, and Precision Surgical to create a regional medical hub. Patient safety remains a priority, with all East Campus staff receiving the same rigorous training as those at the main Central Campus, ensuring consistent quality of care.
