Banco Nacion Launches 48-Month Financing Plan for New Cars in Argentina

August 11, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

In August 2026, Banco Nación launched a specialized financing program titled “+Autos con BNA” in partnership with Volkswagen Argentina, offering retail buyers unsecured personal loans of up to $20.000.000 to acquire zero-kilometer vehicles priced under $60.000.000 across authorized national dealerships.

Financing Terms and Rate Structures for Zero-Kilometer Vehicles

The joint initiative introduces differentiated nominal annual rates based on the borrower’s payroll relationship with the state-backed financial institution, according to official statements released by both entities in August 2026. For consumers who credit their salaries directly through Banco Nación, the nominal annual rate is set at 27% for 24-month repayment schedules, increasing to 30% for terms spanning 30 to 48 months. Borrowers who do not route their earnings through the bank face higher borrowing costs, encountering nominal annual rates of 37% for 24-month tenors and 40% for durations extending up to 48 months. All loan operations utilize the French amortization system.

Qualifying purchases are restricted to vehicles with a maximum retail valuation of $60.000.000. According to disclosures from the automaker’s retail network, the catalog of eligible inventory encompasses popular domestic and imported configurations such as the Polo, Tera, Virtus, Nivus, T-Cross, Taos, Saveiro, and Amarok models. Transactions must be initiated and processed directly through authorized official dealerships participating in the program, where credit evaluations are executed under current regulatory standards.

Addressing Consumer Credit Stress and Digital Refinancing

Alongside the automotive credit push, Banco Nación rolled out an automated restructuring channel designed to handle high levels of retail delinquency in the lending sector. According to institutional performance metrics released in August 2026, the bank has processed more than 62.000 refinancing transactions totaling upwards of 310.000 millones de pesos throughout the year.

The newly deployed digital infrastructure targets account holders with unpaid credit card balances, specifically accommodating individuals classified under credit risk categories 3, 4, or 5. This self-managed tool permits eligible debtors to structure repayment plans extending as far as 96 months without requiring physical attendance at a traditional banking branch.
